Carlos Quezada

Carlos Quezada is the Mentoring Coordinator for TKF. He oversees the implementation of TKF’s mission of creating a Safe School Model and supports our various mentors throughout San Diego County to provide tools and techniques aimed at teaching students positive life skills.
 
Cultural awareness and community empowerment are a focus of Carlos, and with over two decades of experience in the education system and community building through the arts, he hopes to bring the possibility of opportunity to create safe spaces for students and empower communities, large and small. Having studied abroad provided the opportunity to understand not only the language, but the culture and lifestyle of a whole new world; something youth and adults alike should experience.
 
Carlos is thrilled to be a part of the TKF team and help create the change it wants to see in the world through direct interaction with the youth, one-on-one mentoring, community projects and a restorative justice mindset.
 
Carlos enjoys playing billiards, movie trivia, traveling, Jeopardy, games and learning about other cultures.
